Red Bank Ramp

Chattown Skatepark not for you?

There's just something about a fenced, locked, prefabricated, pad nanny skatepark that's sandwiched between fresh piles of doggie doo, a stinky foundry and a busy highway that makes it feel and smell like a concentration camp. Until the Chattanooga area gets a real skatepark, we'll just make do with hills, ditches, curbs, rails, ledges and other open-access, no-cost solutions.

And just to blow the stereotype of lazy, good for nothing skaters, we're also building a miniramp in Red Bank. We are gathering quarter pipes from around town, got tons of metal layer from an old vert ramp, and outside power for lights, music, tools! All we need are more brainless old skaters to help us cobble this mess together and keep us motivated to skate.

That stuff in the BG is from an old above-ground pool deck that got moved up to the house as a back porch.

hey man,

where is this? i been wanting to toss a half pipe in my yard for years! i suck at skating halfpipe (and probably at all...it's been a couple year), but i been dying to get started again.

so i guess i'm asking...can i come join? i'll help build or whatever. and if you want, you can move it to my place. that would actually rock.

anyway...shoot me an e-mail at daniel.brantley@yahoo.com or daniel.brantley@truenorthcustom.com and let me know what the deal-i-o is.

also, one reason i've not skated in a while is b/c my kingpin is busted and i can't get the old one out. to make matters worse, i can't bring myself to buy new trucks. you have any old ones i could get? i'll trade you stuff...have an electric scooter and a bunch of cds you may be interested in.

good to see people in rb keeping it real.

This is a message for Gene. I met you at the bank a little while back and wanted to check out your mini. I lost that business card with your number, so email me if you want some company for a session. dwight@smalltimeskates.com
