Street Skating Defined
Here's a neat little clip from the Powell-Peralta Bones Brigade classic, Public Domain. An ersatz anthropologist makes some poignant observations about the "cult" of street skating, circa 1988.
"Here, in a clandestine observation, we see a roving band of skateboard cultists practicing obscure urban rituals amidst the cultural detritus of an abandoned manufacturing facility. How is that these cultists can derive pleasure from the seemingly insignificant, the debris of modern society?"

i'm stoked this blog exists! i'm 29, and can count the number of times i've been on a board since i was 18 on one hand... i would really enjoy coming out to the green mini-half in redbank to do some photography... and maybe some skating...
